Support to Laura Vicuna Foundation

For more than a decade, we’ve supported the Laura Vicuña Foundation, Inc (LVF) in their aim to build the capacities of children in need of special protection through integral education and development. Green Jakobsen and LVF both share the values of empowering and nurturing people, especially the young. With our continuous provision and support to LVF, we get to help improve the lives of children and youth, specifically the sexually abused, exploited, trafficked, and working children. We support LVF in restoring the children’s faith in themselves, in others and the society and empowering these children to become responsible, productive and self-reliant citizens

Thomas has been a partner and consultant in Green-Jakobsen since 2006. He has an educational background as engineer, combined with a degree in economics (HD) from Copenhagen business school (CBS) and a management diploma in strategy development from Scandinavian International Management Institute (SIMI) Thomas has experience from various managerial and executive positions in which he has been driving organisational development and performance improvements. The last 10 years Thomas has worked within the maritime and offshore industry with focus on development of key HR functions such as performance measurement and optimisation, competence management, leadership and change management. Furthermore he has been involved in assessment of corporate culture and development of same with the aim to enhance the company safety performances. Thomas’ strengths lie within analysis, design, development and management of strategic programmes for safety and employee performance optimisation.

He is located in Hamburg, Germany with its port and the maritime industry at his doorstep. Lennart is an ex-mariner, who has several years of experience as a deck officer on chemical tankers. Leaving the life of a seafarer behind he joined the maritime learning and development market, were he was heading the office in Germany for a major e-learning provider. With a passion for the maritime industry and a passion for learning and development, Lennart was a natural fit to Green Jakobsen, which he joined in June 2022.

Bjarke is one of the founders of Green-Jakobsen and has consequently been a partner in the company since 2001. Bjarke has a certificate of competency as Master Mariner and apart from his experience on board he has worked shore based as Operator, Nautical Superintendent, and Crewing Manager. Bjarke is a facilitator/instructor, a trained mediator and a NLP Master Practitioner. He is authorized by the Danish Maritime Authority as Safety & Health Instructor and certified user of the Thomas PPA system.

Bjarke is the Managing Director of Green-Jakobsen, Philippines and as such in charge of the day-to-day management of the Green-Jakobsen office in Manila. As a senior consultant he is developing, managing and organising training contents, learning methods and courses in relation to client projects. His maritime specialist knowledge and practical experience are vital competences in the actual implementation of the projects and learning initiatives carried out in cooperation with the clients.
